I COME IN WINTER
The village-resort of La Giettaz in the Val d'Arly, in the heart of the French Alps, is connected to the ski area of Portes du Mont Blanc (La Giettaz, Combloux, Megève Jaillet) [Map of the slopes] open from the Christmas holidays until the end of March (from 23/12/23 - 01/04/24 for the 2023-2024 season) and Evasion Mont Blanc (Portes du Mont Blanc + Megève, Saint Gervais and Les Contamines).
It is a paradise for snow lovers with its breathtaking views of Mont Blanc and the Aravis chain. Here nature is queen and it is in all serenity that you can contemplate it while skiing or during a snowshoe hike.
As for catering, several restaurants welcome holidaymakers on the ski slopes of the La Giettaz area (Auberge de Bonjournal, the Foodtruck 1930) but also in the hamlet of Plan (La Datcha) or in the center of the village (La Grange).
Note: several pairs of adults and 2 pairs of snowshoes are available to holidaymakers during their stay at Chalet Philomena.
Ski
From the chalet, you have access practically "ski-in" to the blue slope "La Tréffléannaise" of the Portes du Mont-Blanc area. The area includes 3 resorts: La Giettaz, Combloux and Megève Le Jaillet or 100 km of slopes, and by extension of package it is also connected to the Evasion Mont-Blanc area (445 km of slopes).

Snowshoes and sledges
Les itinéraires balisés de raquettes sont nombreux au milieu des forêts, au sommet du Torraz ainsi qu'au Col des Aravis avec vue imprenable sur le Mont Blanc et le Val d'Arly. Au chalet Philomena plusieurs paires de raquettes sont à la disposition de nos vacanciers, ainsi que des luges pour enfants. Il est possible de louer des raquettes supplémentaires en boutique au pied des remontées mécaniques.
